AEE - RICARDO - Sludge
The purpose is to provide an analysis of how sewage sludge could be managed in a circular economy. The aim should be to provide the reader with a good understanding of the current challenges and considerations facing sewage sludge recycling and disposal in Europe, and what changes in practice are required to move to a more circular economy to ensure that something used as a resource is not polluting the environment or affecting human health. By considering the issue from “the sludge perspective”, the aim is to inform policy makers of the broader aspects of this issue.
OIEau is providing an in-depth peer review of the draft deliverables including specific references to support the arguments developed and propose alternatives or improvements to the deliverables developed in the project.
